Tours to France 2008

We are pleased to offer a variety of tours.

Please contact us for information about what we are planning for 2008!!

Themes we have offered in the past:
CORKS & FORKS: These specialty tours offer our travelers an opportunity to enjoy Western France in a relaxed setting. The hotel accommodations are “old world” style, but of good quality and comfort with private bath and other amenities.  They also offer good meals and are situated in convenient areas close to shopping and excursions.  Please note that our prices reflect double occupancy per person and if you require a single room, there is a supplement depending on the hotels and length of stay.

WAR MEMORIES: From Vimy Ridge to the shores of Normandy! Although this battlefield tour does focus mainly on history, we do offer our travelers an opportunity to enjoy some travel through regions of France that were less affected than others. This is particularly true of the Loire Valley visit en route to Paris at the conclusion. Our itinerary includes Vimy Ridge, Beaumont-Hamel, Dieppe, Caen & the D-day landing Beaches, le Mont St-Michel, Saint Malo, Loire Valley & Paris.

STUDENT SUMMER LANGUAGE ADVENTURE:  This tour is designed to cater to the needs of our youth ( 15-18 years) and to teachers. However, we can make special arrangements for adults who would like to learn French in a very authentic setting.

OCTOBER GOLF in Normandy and Brittany: This is a new tour that will be offered for the golfer or anyone who would like to travel in the autumn. The weather is warm and there’s plenty to see and do!

What do we do?

TRAVEL: Our tours are fully guided and we do the driving! You will travel in the comfort of a new 9-passenger van with air conditioning, reclining seats and great storage space.  Although our tours have a specific itinerary that will be determined with group input, we are quite flexible! By doing our own driving, we can cater to individual needs. Often we discover events of interest while en route and we can usually make adjustments to our schedule.  While touring with us, you will have breakfast and dinner daily along with planned excursions. On some tours, you may have some free time and are seeking advice about what to see or do- we are always available to help you plan!

COMMUNICATION: In preparation for the tour you will have an itinerary that includes daily information and hotel addresses and telephone numbers.  I have a cell phone for France and we can help you to stay in contact by internet / email. We’ll also provide you with a little handbook of helpful suggestions.

FOOD: The meals are very good! Breakfasts are continental with fresh bread, croissants and rolls. Juice, coffee, hot chocolate and tea are always the norm.  In some cases, we enjoy other special items including fresh fruit, home made jams & jellies, cheese and yogourt. Our evening meals are a culinary experience! We generally eat from “table d’hote” menus with plenty of choices. In all cases, the food is fresh and reflects the region we are visiting. In addition, we enjoy excellent wines and mineral water with coffee and tea to conclude.

PRICES: The advertised cost of the tour is based on the principle of an all-inclusive package. However, we DO NOT include airfare, insurance and lunch. Our travel agent can reserve your tickets if you require assistance- we often find that most of our groups tend to book through us.  If you wish to travel independently, we can make arrangements to meet you en route or at our first hotel.

PRIVATE GROUPS: Based on a minimum of 6 or 7 passengers, we can offer you a special tour to fit the interests of your group.

PAYMENT: For adult tours, a $300.00 deposit per person is required. Prices from $2700. per person  (based on double occupancy). For summer language adventure, please consult the application form.
